A Broward County, Florida jury awarded $800,000 in damages in a lawsuit over an alleged overly hot chicken nuggets from a McDonald’s Happy Meal. One nugget left 4-year-old Olivia Caraballo severely burned, after it got stuck in her car seat, injuring her legs. The initial trial in May, yielded a split verdict over if the Tamarac fast food restaurant was responsible for the child’s burns back in 2019. The legal dispute between Taco John’s and Taco Bell over the trademarked phrase “Taco Tuesday” is over. The regional chain has announced that it will abandon the trademark since it’s not worth the legal fees to fight over it. Taco John’s had the phrase trademarked in every state except New Jersey for 34 years. Taco Bell set out to challenge this, claiming it as commonly used phrase. Attorney and TikTok creator Eve Tilley-Coulson is leveraging the power of the internet to find her a husband. Marvel Studios’ Disney+ series “Ms. Marvel” will be making its television debut later this summer on ABC. The network has announced it will show the first season of the original series across two Saturdays in August.   “Ms. Marvel” follows Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. Heavy metal band GWAR recently crashed NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series, and it’s as hilarious as you’d expect. The band, in full garb of course, packed into NPR’s office to play 4 songs; “Sex Cow,” “I’ll Be Your Monster,” “Ratcatcher,” and “Phantom Limb.” The mini-concert was partially inspired by the satirical website The Hard Times’ headline “GWAR asks NPR’s Tiny Desk Staff if They’re Ready to Get Their Assholes Ripped Open.” And apparently they were, since the station had already approached the band about being a part of the show. “My text messages suddenly blew up,” NPR’s Lars Gotrich wrote…

Actor Sean Gunn (“Guardians of the Galaxy”) has taken to Twitter to correct a now-removed interview he did with The Hollywood Reporter while standing on the Netflix picket line. The interview revolved around his role as Kirk on the show “Gilmore Girls,” which is currently streaming on Netflix. And the compensation, or lack thereof, he received from the streamer. Actress Samara Weaving (“Scream VI,” “Bill & Ted Face The Music”) will be starring in 20th Century Studio’s heist thriller “Eenie Meanie.” The new film is written and directed by Shawn Simmons (“Wayne”), with Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick as producers.  “Eenie Meanie” will follow a former teenage getaway driver who is dragged back into her unsavory past when a former employer offers her a chance to save the life of her chronically unreliable ex-boyfriend.
