A group of scientists in Antarctica has discovered five new meteorites, including one that weighs nearly 17 lbs! This brave team endured inhospitable and freezing conditions to acquire these rare space rocks. To date, about 45,000 meteorites have been recovered from the icy wasteland that is Antarctica. Music publisher BMG Rights Management is suing toymaker MGA Entertainment Inc over their song “My Poops, ” over similarities to the Black Eyed Peas’ song “My Humps.” The song in question is “My Poops,” part of a marketing campaign for their Poopsie Slime Surprise toyline. Documents filed with the Manhattan federal court allege the song rips off the Black Eyed Peas 2005 mega-hit. American astronaut Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin took one giant leap for his love life by marring Dr. Anca Faur on his 93rd birthday. “On my 93rd birthday & the day I will also be honored by Living Legends of Aviation I am pleased to announce that my longtime love Dr. Anca Faur” he announced on Twitter. The post was accompanied by two images of himself in a tuxedo, with Faur in a lovely long-sleeved glittering dress. Two-time Grammy-winning band Evanescence’s album “Fallen” was released in 2003. The album spent 43 weeks on the Billboard Top 10 when it was first released. It has now sold more than 17 million copies worldwide. And, it happens to be celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. This year in honor of the big 2-0, the band has teamed up with Hipdot for an anniversary makeup palette. Alternative rock bands Foo Fighters and Green Day will headline the Harley-Davidson Homecoming Festival celebrating the brand’s 120th anniversary. The event will be held July 13th-16th at Veterans Park in Milwaukee, home of the legendary motorcycle brand. Other acts for the festival include Cody Jinks, Social Distortion, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Phantogram, White Reaper, and Kenny Hoopla. So far it sounds like a good mix of classic and modern artists.
