Director James Wan (“Aquaman”) is on the mend after a scary and seemingly unexpected stay at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. The new horror comedy “Slotherhouse” just got its first trailer and poster courtesy of Gravitas Ventures. Seasonal retailer Spirit Halloween has just introduced the first ever life-size animatronic from “Mars Attacks.” Based on the cult-classic Topps trading card series, this is an exclusive and officially-licensed Martian Warrior Animatronic. You just can’t kill Ghostface, can you? Spyglass Entertainment has confirmed “Scream 7” will no longer be directed by Radio Silence. Instead, Christopher Landon (“Happy Death Day”) is taking over. This will be the 7th installment of the Wes Craven created horror franchise.  The last two installments of the series, 2022’s reboot “Scream” and 2023’s “Scream VI,” were directed by the filmmaking collective, Radio Silence. Members Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett, and Chad Villella will still be acting as executive producers on the new film. To celebrate the 54th anniversary of The Haunted Mansion ride, Disneyland will be materializing a new limited-edition Hatbox Ghost tiki mug.  These brand new novelty glasses will be available next week! Since the fan-favorite attraction also opened on that day in 1969. Canadian-American global entertainment company Lionsgate is buying toy maker Hasbro’s Entertainment One (eOne) film and TV business for $500 million, including $375 million in cash. The companies announced the deal before the stock market opened on August 3rd. The transaction has been approved by both companies’ boards of directors and remains subject to customary closing conditions, including the receipt of regulatory approvals. Barring any regulatory holdups, the deal is expected to close by the end of 2023. The upcoming horror movie “Haunting of the Queen Mary” (formerly “The Queen Mary”) just got an official poster and trailer. Directed by Gary Shore (“Dracula Untold”) from a script by Stephen Oliver and Tom Vaughan, it sure looks creepy!
