Heath Andrews has been a student of pop culture ever since he found himself to be the only student in 3rd grade who regularly watched "Get Smart" on Nick-At-Nite. Ever since then he's been engrossed in way too much media with a growing collection of music, books, comics, TV on DVD box sets, and a video game collection that could rival a brick and mortar store. Prior to writing for Nerdbot he's written for Review You, MyAnimeList, and various advertising companies.

There are some weird fetishes out there, dudes; some weird fetishes. We’re not going to go into specifics on the spectrum of different kinks, but if the side hustle of Stephanie Matto is to be believed, then she’s making thousands of dollars farting into jars and selling them. Matto’s rise in popularity had her featured on “90 Day Fiancé: Before he 90 Days” and has continued on TikTok with her showing off her fart jar selling business. But I guess all good things must come to an end as apparently Matto’s gas is too much to bear, and a recent…

It’s not everyday that we cover sporting events on Nerdbot, unless it has to do with Quidditch or something. But it’s also not everyday that one of the biggest names in the NFL takes off half his uniform in the middle of the game, jumps around in the opponent’s end zone and then completely leaves the stadium. Those are the events that took place on January 2nd, 2022 when Tampa Bay wide receiver Antonio Brown had a meltdown, and potentially ended his career in the NFL. Despite his talent on the field, Brown has a history of controversy within and…

The shorthand phrase ‘lol’ gets used with such frequency, that it’s almost lost all meaning. Very rarely when we type the expression are we actually laughing out loud. There are times however, once every few weeks or months, where an actual lol moment occurs. We at Nerdbot frequently have these, thankfully. But there was one in particular from a few days ago I wanted to share with you. Twitter user IanCanWrite hasn’t done a lot of tweeting since joining the platform in July of 2019; only 63 times. Many of those tweets are of a very specific kind. Mostly to…

The discussion around cryptocurrency, blockchains, NFTs, etc. is as complicated as it is highly debated by its supporters and detractors. Some say it’s the wave of the future, some say elements of it are at worst a scam. Or at best, has some legitimacy until it inevitably blows up in people’s faces. We’ll push the debate part to the side for the moment to instead ask a different question; if crypto is the way to the future, is it also possible it can bring businesses back from the dead? That’s what one particular group is trying to find out with…

On Christmas Eve 2021, meth, combined with access to a short sword, resulted in a girlfriend stabbing her boyfriend to death. It’s a disturbing case to be sure, made more disturbing by some of the details. Brittany Wilson was found standing outside her Missouri home late Christmas Eve by police officers responding to a call about some unusual activity. When they found her, she had blood covering her hands and clothes. The cause of everything wasn’t much of a mystery though considering there was a sword nearby her as well, presumably tossed aside so that officers would not see her…

The world of pinball has entered a bit of a resurgence as of late due to retro fans embracing the tactile gaming boards to keep them alive. Couple that with newer fans being brought into the experience with virtual tables on Pinball FX or Stern Pinball Arcade, and the community is livelier than it was 10 to 20 years ago. While big names like Williams and Bally have gone down the hole, the aforementioned Stern is still going strong and ready to rock with the iconic prog rock band Rush! Yes, Rush; the Canadian power trio made up of guitarist…

Pickles. A cucumber that’s been soaking in brine until it sours and produces a unique experience. There are some tastes that can go well with many different flavors; pickles are not really considered one of them. Some people despise them, insisting they be removed from burgers, sandwiches, etc.. Then, there are some who will happily just eat them whole. There tends to be very little middle ground on this subject. Perhaps one thing we can all come together on though is the abomination that is pickle-flavored cotton candy. Over at My Gourmet Cotton Candy, there are delicious sounding flavors of…

On December 28th 2021, we lost an icon in the world of sports and entertainment. John Madden was, by all accounts, never expected to be a household name. His career path took several unexpected turns that would transform him from a player, to a coach, to a broadcaster, to one of the biggest names in video games. Some people are lucky to be remembered for something outside their personal lives; Madden will be remembered for at least three. As a tribute to his passing, we’d like to go back and take a look at those accomplishments. John Madden: Super Bowl…

When I think of a pig, the first thing that comes to mind is Wilbur in “Charlotte’s Web.” In particular, I think about the animated adaptation and that barbershop quartet song at the end, “Zuckerman’s Famous Pig.” As a matter of fact, I’ll do you all a favor and leave a clip of that right here. You’re welcome. So now that you have that embedded into your head, Texas has a feral pig problem that’s the largest in the United States costing them millions of dollars in agricultural damage each year. Despite efforts to stop them, the problem is just…
