Heath Andrews has been a student of pop culture ever since he found himself to be the only student in 3rd grade who regularly watched "Get Smart" on Nick-At-Nite. Ever since then he's been engrossed in way too much media with a growing collection of music, books, comics, TV on DVD box sets, and a video game collection that could rival a brick and mortar store. Prior to writing for Nerdbot he's written for Review You, MyAnimeList, and various advertising companies.

There are programs in the history of television that leave you asking, “How the hell did that air for so long?” That’s not a question you can ask of “Baywatch.” Despite the show’s lack of Emmys, everyone knew why the show was successful. Thanks to all those beach bodies, the careers of several actors and actresses were cemented in pop culture; including Oscar nominee Pamela Anderson, and one of Germany’s favorite singers, David Hasselhoff. “Baywatch” remains one of those properties that still has a legacy attached to it, and next year, Fox is seeking to tap into that as it…

Decades ago, individual broadcast stations for the major networks, NBC, CBS, and ABC used to be owned by individual groups. A lot of that changed over time as the business of television grew and larger media companies started buying multiple stations. Two of these larger entities are Nexstar and Sinclair. Between the two companies, they own over 20% of the ABC affiliate stations. Depending on where those stations are located, they can be broadcasting to millions of people in their respective areas. Last week, Disney pulled “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” from the air indefinitely. This was due to comments host Jimmy…

It’s a little hard to fathom it, but it’s been over three years since we last had some new episodes of “Stranger Things.” It seems like just yesterday that Kate Bush’s “Running up That Hill (Deal with God) was shooting up the charts, Vecna was tearing people apart, and the fate of certain characters was left ambiguously vague. That will all start to come to a close this November when the fifth season of “Stranger Things” begins. To help you gear up for that, General Mills is bringing some snacks to the table with a new look to celebrate the…

Thrilling heists and robberies are no stranger to the world of entertainment. If they were, we wouldn’t have the “Ocean’s Eleven” film, remake, and eventual franchise. They make for gripping narratives and often a desire to root for the antihero or villain. At least, we can do that in the realm of fiction, in real life these things rarely happen. In the case of the Disney Springs Paddlefish restaurant, fiction became a bit too true to life, and they’re not rooting for the villain this time around either. The Paddlefish is a unique restaurant in that it’s designed to be…

Oh, Fyre Fest. Despite the fact that it never turned out happening it has been the gift that has kept on giving. Normally, we don’t take pleasure in the pain of others, but a bit of schadenfreude is acceptable when we’re talking about convicted felon Billy McFarland, the mind behind Fyre Fest. He swore it would actually happen the second time around, and shockingly, it didn’t. But it will all be worth, because Taika Waititi is currently working on “Fyre Fest: The Musical.” The original Fyre Fest was a joke unto itself. People traveled to an island for the promise…

You may not even realize it, but one of the longest running shows in television history is the home repair program “This Old House.” It started airing in 1979 and was originally hosted by Bob Vila with assistance from master carpenter, Norm Abram. When it comes to experimental alternative rock, there are very few bands that have the critical and commercial clout as Radiohead.
