We’ll tell you everything a beginner needs to know about blackjack and explain how to start this card game at an online casino.

As modern technology advances, blackjack made its way into online casinos where millions of people play the various versions of the game every day and try to beat online casino at blackjack.

    Playing in Blackjack

With that in mind, let’s take a closer look at the game of blackjack and explain how to start playing this game at an online casino.

    Brief History of Blackjack

In the English-speaking world blackjack is also sometimes referred to Twenty-One. According to legend, Blackjack is an improved version of the early 18th century French game Ving-et-un, the name of which also translates to 21.

Traveling to North America with the French colonists, Ving-et-un underwent several major changes in the rules, shaping it into a classic blackjack we know.

With the development of the international gambling industry, and later Internet gambling, dozens of different variations of blackjack appeared, including multiplayer games with live dealers online which you may check here.

But before moving to the practice, let’s first familiarize ourselves with the basic rules of this game.

    The gist of the game

The key rule of blackjack is to beat the dealer and score a maximum of 21 points.

If a player scores 21 points in the starting two cards he got from the dealer, this is called Blackjack.

Blackjack uses a classic deck of 52 cards. Card scores from 2 to 10 are counted by their face value, Jack, King and Queen each give the player 10 points, and Ace, 11 or 1 point(s) (Depends on the type of the blackjack game).

The key to this game, as in poker, is the players’ bets: these bets, in different types of blackjack, can start after all players receive one card, or you can start betting after you receive two cards.

After receiving cards, all players have the right to ask for one more card, or stay with their hand. One of the dealer’s two cards must be open (again, depends on the variety of blackjack). Once all players have made their decisions, the dealer will reveal the second card and determine the winner, who has scored 21 or as close to that number of points as possible.

    The betting options in blackjack

Generally, to start playing blackjack, you need to make a minimum bet before the cards are dealt. The minimum bet will determine the players’ future bets.

Players can double their bets once they have decided to draw another card, stay with their cards, or split their cards.

Split cards are only available if you have two cards of equal value – during such a deal, you can ask the dealer to replace one of the cards for you.

Betting and the entire game of blackjack, the user conducts only with the dealer. Your bets are proof of your confidence that you have scored more points (not exceeding 21) than the dealer.

One possible outcome can be a Draw, in which you and the dealer score the same number of points. In this case, there is no winner, and the player stays with his money.

The worst outcome for a player is Bust. This happens when you have more than 21 points. In this case, the user automatically loses.

    How to start playing?

To start playing blackjack – choose any legal online casino with this game and go to a room with a suitable blackjack game type.

Remember to read the rules, bets and insurances beforehand, play a few practice hands in demo\free mode, and only after that move on to real-money bets.

As you play, try to memorize the cards you’ve already played; this will help you determine the probability of winning or falling out with a particular card next in the deck. Players use the same principle to determine the probability of their poker combinations.

Also try to ensure your bets, if the rules of the game allow it. With insurance, the player is essentially betting that the dealer will have a blackjack hand. The insurance pays out to the player at a rate of 2:1.

Sometimes this can save your initial bet.
