Watch Netflix’s “Sailor Moon Eternal” Trailer in English!

Finally we’re able to watch the newest addition to the “Sailor Moon” franchise in an English trailer! The two-part movie “Sailor Moon Eternal” part one and two had a theatrical release in Japan. While we had hoped that they would do something similar here the next best thing is Netflix picking it up.

They are not only releasing part one but also part two at the same time for a Pretty Guardian double feature!

The voice cast for the film was also announced by Netflix:

Stephanie Sheh is Usagi Tsukino/Sailor Moon
Kate Higgins is Ami Mizuno/Sailor Mercury
Cristina Vee as Rei Hino/Sailor Mars
Amanda C. Miller is Makoto Kino/Sailor Jupiter
Cherami Leigh as Minako Aino/Sailor Venus
Sandy Fox is Chibi-Usa / Sailor Chibi Moon
Veronica Taylor as Setsuna Meioh/Sailor Pluto
Erica Mendez is Haruka Tenoh/Sailor Uranus
Lauren Landa is Michiru Kaioh/Sailor Neptune
Christine Marie Cabanos as Hotaru Tomoe/Sailor Saturn
Robbie Daymond as Mamoru Chiba/Tuxedo Mask
    Michelle Ruff is Luna
    Johnny Yong Bosch is Artemis
    Deby Dayberry is Diana

What makes this announcement even more interesting is the fact that Hulu houses the entire original series and the newer “Sailor Moon Crystal.” We’re not sure why they chose to sell the rights to Netflix this time around but we do know that Netflix has been pushing more for anime content over the years.

Personally I’m excited to be able to watch this at home instead of a theater. Sure the camaraderie is nice and the “Demon Slayer” movie was people’s first real chance to gather and cosplay after the pandemic. But releasing it in a streaming format gives more opportunities for those that are still unable to go out freely.

“Sailor Moon Eternal” releases June 3rd, 2021 only on Netflix.
