Giving gifts can be hard. Sometimes, it seems like the person you are buying for owns everything. Other times, their tastes are so obscure that you are unsure of what item could make them happy. That’s where gift cards save the day. You can’t go wrong with giving someone cash to spend however they like. Now, you can give the gamer in your life the gift of more streams through Twitch’s virtual gift cards.

Twitch’s gift cards can be purchased in increments of $25, $50, $100 or $200. Once purchased, you can send them to your friends through text or e-mail. You can choose from a variety of messages to attach to the gift card. There are a lot of standard sayings such as “happy birthday” or “thank you.” Sending Twitch gift cards is a “great way to help the Twitch fans in your life meet fans like them, support their favorite streamers, and be part of the next big thing right as it’s happening.”

What exactly can you buy with these gift cards though? Well, pretty much anything available on Twitch. Gift cards can be redeemed for Bits which is a currency viewers spend on their favorite gamers’ sites. Think of them as mini-donations. Additionally, the cards can also purchase subscriptions. Subscribing to a streamer supports them and unlocks special benefits for the subscriber. You can even use the gift cards to purchase gift subs.

Currently, gift cards are only available for purchase digitally. Twitch plans to launch physical versions of their gift cards in Best Buy and GameStop soon. Physical cards will range in price from $15 to $200. As of right now, gift cards are limited to the U.S. only.
