New Found Glory And Simple Plan Are Hitting The Road Together This Summer

Will anyone have any money left in their bank accounts after this summer?

Probably not because the summer concert season is already red hot leaving those currently hating winter with something to look forward to. This week alone saw the major announcement of a Rage Against The Machine slash Run The Jewels double bill, The Deftones released their touring schedule, The Decemberists are hitting the road for their 20th anniversary, Forecastle dropped its 2020 line up, and this has all been over the last three days.

So why not add another three bands to the list as New Found Glory, Simple Plan, and Knucklepuck will all join forces this year for the “Pop Punk’s Still Not Dead Tour” kicking off on May 29th in sunny St. Petersburg, Florida.

The as of now nineteen date venture is set to carry on all the way through June concluding at the legendary Stubb’s in Austin.

Each group made the announcement via Twitter from their respective accounts and will mark the first time all three have shared the stage for a tour of this magnitude. Kind of like a more affordable Hella Mega Tour but way more emo. Unfortunately razors and smoking probably won’t be allowed at the show.

While New Found Glory and Simple Plan will get a majority of the attention, do not underestimate what Knucklepuck can do on stage. The Chicago outfit is as legitimate as the groups they will be opening for. I’d recommend getting there a bit early.

To close on a high note, tickets are incredibly cheaper than Rage Against The Machine tickets and the Pop Punk’s Still Not Dead Tour will be playing venues with cheaper adult beverages. So if the finances got you in a bind, but you’re still looking to rock out, just know there will be plenty of opportunities to for you to scream your high school kid inside lungs out this summer.
