Get Paid $1,300 to Watch 13 Stephen King Movies Wearing a Fitbit

This Halloween DISH  is willing to pay an ultimate fan of King’s movies to watch 13 films and earn $1300. Simple enough right? Just watch the films and make some cash? It doesn’t sound like there is a catch..

One lucky (or unlucky) fan will get quite the package to make this trip down Derry, Maine well worth it. Don’t worry about tracking down these horror flicks; watch all 13 movies on us!

To help equip you for watching, we’ll give you a survival kit with a flashlight, blanket, popcorn, candy, and some Stephen King paraphernalia to set the stage for what is sure to be a terrifying experience. We’ll provide a Fitbit to help you track your heart rate during some of the more intense scenes. Think “you’ll float too” or the prom scene in Carrie.

We’ll also give you a movie theater gift card to add a 14th movie to your list, either It: Chapter 2 or Doctor Sleep, whichever nightmare you prefer (you won’t be required to report on this specific movie experience—just try to enjoy the show).

Once you watch all 13 movies and log your report, we’ll pay you $1,300! Spend it how you want. May we recommend a relaxing spa trip?

All the details can be found here

The movies you get to enjoy are:

    • Carrie (original or 2013 remake)
    • Children of the Corn
    • Christine
    • Creepshow
    • Cujo
    • Dreamcatcher
    • It (original or 2017 remake)
    • The Mist
    • Pet Sematary (original or 2019 remake)
    • Salem’s Lot
    • The Shining
    • Thinner

Goddess bless the person who survives this binge. I love scary movies, but even I have my limits.

I think we can all agree that only one name takes the cake for “King of Horror”. And if Stephen King’s name didn’t come to mind, you need to check yourself. Growing up I was terrified of The Shining and It, although truth be told I’m still terrified if It and refuse to see the movies. Not only does Stephen write such terrifying novels but they stay with you and are still to this day cult classics. What’s Halloween without hearing “Here’s Johnny!” Or how about seeing that terrifying red balloon. Or watching Misery and still flinching in horror as you watch ankles being put between a plank of wood. I still shudder at the thought. My favorite movie and book of his will always be The Shawshank Redemption, if you haven’t watched it, you need to, it’s one of comedy, drama, and life after the steel bars of jail.
