Mammotion Wins! I’m Now Excited to Mow My Giant Rural Lawn

Cutting the grass is probably the worst part of many people’s summers. Good news though because we’ve found a way to do this completely hands off! Mammotion has created a line of AI Robot Lawnmowers that take the hassle out of lawncare this year. I couldn’t believe that they had one that would mow my massive rural lawn either!

The LUBA 3 robot mower moves quickly and over some pretty tough terrain. It can climb up to 80% incline, which I myself have nearly pressed to its limits. The ditch in my front yard is probably one of the hardest places and it navigates it just fine! That’s one headache I don’t need to worry about anymore. But the Luba 3 has many more benefits than just that.

    Stats for Nerds

    • World’s First Tri-Fusion Positioning (360° LiDAR + NetRTK + Dual Camera AI Vision).
    • Reliable Positioning in Any Weather, Any Terrain, Day or Night.
    • Armored 360° LiDAR Protection, 4X Durability.
    • All-Wheel Drive for 80% (38.6°) Slopes — LUBA’s Standard.
    • Up to 15Ah Large Battery for 215 mins Runtime Per Charge.
    • EcoSleep Mode Saves up to 100 kWh Per Year.
    • Flexible Map Editing Lets You Update Your Lawn Easily.
    • 41 lbs Lightweight Design That Won’t Hurt Your Grass.

Setting it Up and Ease of Use

The set up is quite easy, the hardest part was making sure the bumper was attached correctly. The machine itself is also a heavy little buster. This is made to last and you know it just from removing it from the box. You place the dock and the post and make sure you can plug it into the outside outlet. The electrical stuff is all sufficiently waterproof. It came with everything I needed tool wise and some replacement blades. It comes with a huge picture instruction manual which was super helpful with setting it up.

Because it’s done through remote it’s pretty easy to get it going. Once you install the unit in your yard and plug it in all you have to do is map out your yard. For me it was easy since the front lawn and back lawn connect. I was able to get it all mapped out and it will mow it in one fell swoop. It’s basically like flying a drone at first. Or perhaps playing with a remote controlled car is more accurate. Either way it’s one of the easiest set ups I’ve done. If you want more information on how it works I’ll link the guide here.

It’s equipped to learn your yard through general mapping with the app remote control, and then as it mows it learns through its bumper and camera on the top of the unit. It also has things you can program into it like “No Go Zones” so that it won’t mow those areas.

    Remote Controlled!

You can send the mower out from an app on your phone! This is great when I’m at work and need to get some mowing done. Since you can access the camera through your app you can see what it’s doing. This is especially helpful for when it gets stuck on something. Here in Missouri we have weather so sometimes a tree branch will fall and you won’t see it. This mower is nice because when it detects an object it will usually mow around it. It very rarely gets stuck.

The app shows how much has been mowed and saves progress during each session. It docks to the charger on its own and what I love is that it has made no change in my electric bill! It also charges very quickly which means that the lawn is mowed in no time!

The Luba 3 is the Talk of the Town

This robot mower, the LUBA 3 from Mammotion has been the talk of all my friends co-workers. It’s also become the envy of my neighbors. I can start it mowing while at work or at the store and my yard is fresh for me when I get home. And I love that there’s no more whining from anyone at home about who is going to mow this week. This is a must have for my household and for my summer!

You can check out Mammotion’s mowers by clicking the link here. They vary by yard capacity so it’s important to know just how big your yard is. Happy Mowing!
