The Peaky Blinders sequel series has unveiled some new cast members. Pulling in some recognizable faces from Game of Thrones and All Her Fault.

Conleth Hill joins as Clemmy Keeler, the fierce patriarch of the Keeler gangster family. He rivals the Peaky Blinders’ ambition to rebuild Birmingham. Fans will know Hill best for playing Varys across all eight seasons of Game of Thrones. Making his casting one of the bigger gets for the new era of the franchise.

Daniel Monks, who starred opposite Sarah Snook in Peacock hit All Her Fault, will play Detective Inspector Bell. Cal O’Driscoll from Video Nasty joins as Clemmy’s son, Aidan Keeler. Lucie Shorthouse from We Are Lady Parts joins the Peaky Blinders gang as Kezia Lee.

The rest of the new additions include Samuel Bottomley (California Schemin’), Arturo Muselli (Gomorrah), and Eugene Collins (The Bay).

Not all the faces are new. Ned Dennehy and Packy Lee are set to reprise their roles of Charlie Strong and Johnny Dogs. They played them in the original series and its sequel film, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man. Their return ties the new show directly to what came before it.

The newly announced cast members join the previously confirmed Jessica Brown Findlay, Lashana Lynch, and Lucy Karczewski.

The new series will see Duke Shelby, played by Jamie Bell, step into his father Tommy’s shoes a decade after World War Two. Stranger Things star Charlie Heaton plays opposite as his half-brother Charles Shelby. This new era of Peaky Blinders for the BBC and Netflix consists of at least two six-episode seasons. It’s setting is a decade after World War Two. Where the race to rebuild Birmingham becomes a brutal contest.

Feature film Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man launched on Netflix in March and was the streamer’s number one film globally after launch. The sequel series builds directly on that momentum. And it’s a story that viewers all wish to see continued.

Steven Knight is the creator and writer of Peaky Blinders. The series is directed by Mike Barker (The Testaments) and Anna Zackrisson (Detective Hole). Tim Whitby (This Town) serves as producer.

Each series will be six episodes each. With both being filmed in and around Digbeth Loc. Studios in Birmingham, and upon release, will be available via the BBC in the UK and on Netflix globally. Banijay labels Kudos and Garrison Drama are producing.

Production is supported by the West Midlands Combined Authority. Peaky Blinders is the first commission following the new BBC partnership. They agreed with the WMCA and Create Central to expand production investment in the West Midlands.
