“Wednesday” Season 3 First Look with Jenna Ortega Takes the Gloom to Paris

The City Of Light has officially gone pitch black, Netflix has just released the first image from Wednesday Season 3, and boy does it hurt.

Netflix has released the first image from Season 3 of Wednesday, coming from Paris, featuring Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams in front of the Eiffel Tower. The streamer’s post reads simply, “From Paris, with dread.”

In the photo, Ortega’s Wednesday is spotted in front of the Eiffel Tower. She is there along with Thing (Victor Dorobantu), who is sitting on top of a motorcycle.

The image is light on plot details but heavy on implication. The hit series has so far only taken place in the United States, primarily in the town of Jericho, Vermont, where Nevermore Academy is located. Paris marks a clear departure from that formula.

The move abroad connects directly to how Season 2 wrapped up. After saving Wednesday, Enid remains trapped in her werewolf form. Both Wednesday and Uncle Fester embark on a quest.

Behind-the-scenes shots from Paris show Ortega back in her iconic black-and-white threads. Sharing the screen with Fred Armisen. This confirms that Uncle Fester will be bringing his chaotic energy to Europe.

Overseeing the action is executive producer and director Tim Burton

He was spotted directing the duo through what looks to be a high-stakes sequence. This was on the cobblestone streets next to the river Seine in central Paris. Tim Burton is clearly hands-on this season, and his enthusiasm is no secret.

In a statement via Netflix‘s Tudum, Burton said, “I’m so excited to be back for Season 3, and it’s great to be reunited with all of the original cast. The addition of some dear friends and past collaborators of mine — Winona, Eva, Chris, and Noah — makes this season extra special.”

The new cast for Season 3 is great. The trio of Lena Headey, Andrew McCarthy, and James Lance joins previously announced additions. These include Eva Green as Aunt Ophelia and Winona Ryder as Tabitha. Chris Sarandon joins as Balthazar and Noah Taylor as Cyrus. Oscar Morgan is starring as Atticus and Kennedy Moyer as Daisy. Eva Green will play Morticia Addams’ allegedly missing sister, Ophelia Frump.

On the production side, Wednesday Season 3 officially began filming in Ireland in February 2026. Filming will likely wrap up production around November 2026.

We expect Wednesday Season 3 to drop on Netflix sometime in 2027. This will likely be around the summer or fall seasons.
