The animated series “Kevin” has just gotten an April 20th premiere date on Prime Video. The upcoming adult comedy is written and executive produced by Aubrey Plaza (“The White Lotus”) and Joe Wengert (“Big Mouth”). Wengert will also serve as showrunner with Plaza in a starring voice role.
Prime Video even dropped a first look at the title sequence, featuring the original song “I’m Coming Home.”

The title sequence for “Kevin” is fittingly by series lead Jason Schwartzman (“Oh. What. Fun.”). Schwartzman and series composer Dan Romer co-wrote the tune.
Schwartzman voices Kevin, a cat caught in the middle of his owner’s breakup. Instead of dealing with their separation, he decides to leave home and move into a local pet rescue in Astoria, Queens. There, he meets a band of misfit animals that help him discover what he truly wants out of life.
Plaza will voice Dana, half of the human couple that Kevin leaves. Other cast members include: Whoopi Goldberg (“Harlem”) as Cupcake, John Waters (“Digman”) as Armando, and Aparna Nancherla (“Hoppers”) as Judy. All three voice the titular character’s new pet store roommates. The shop is ran by Gil Ozeri’s (“Monster”) character Seth and his dog Brandi, voiced by Amy Sedaris (“The Pout-Pout Fish”).
All eight episodes of “Kevin” will hit Prime Video on April 20th. You can check out the title sequence below:
