Make Yourself And Beyond On Incubus’ Summer Tour

The high school version of me is creaming in his imitation Jnco jeans.

Incubus, you remember them right? On May 6th, ConsequenceOfSound.net reported that the Southern California one time funk metal and now more alternative rock band will hit the road for their 20 Years Of Make Yourself And Beyond Tour. While their article doesn’t specifically state the band will play their breakthrough 1999 album in its entirety, I’d bet they bust out the full record the moment the lights go out.

Why not? Everyone else is doing it. I saw Third Eye Blind rock their debut record live and it was incredible. Stephen Jenkins even remembered the words to “The Background“.

For Incubus fans, this is just as good as seeing either Morning View or S.C.I.E.N.C.E. in concert. If you can make it through “Drive” (believe me, Incubus doesn’t want to be remembered for that song), Make Yourself offers an incredible track selection we may never see played live again. “I Miss You”, “When It Comes”, “The Warmth”, not to mention their crowing achievement, also fan favorite “Stellar” is right in the middle of the recording. Should make for an epic event.

I might point out that we are very far removed from the If Not Now, When? Incubus and I couldn’t thank our Lord enough. They’re great again.
