We have some interesting news for all you horror and Ice Nine Kills fans out there. The band is starting to tease the upcoming horror comedy “The Slashin’ of the Christ” on social media. While details about the plot are cryptic at this point, the talent backing the film is solid.

Ice Nine Kills frontman Spencer Charnas co-wrote the script for the film with Broken Lizard’s Paul Soter (“Super Troopers,” “Club Dread“). Greg Nicotero, the filmmaker and makeup FX artist behind AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” will executive produce with his Monster Agency Productions partner Brian Witten (“Final Destination”), and Chris Nilsson (“The Dirt”).

Outside of that very little is known about the project. The official “The Slashin’ of the Christ” website only has a few pages fleshed out. But the few that exist are designed to look like a fake christian college. So maybe a religious themed horror comedy meets sorority row slasher? Only time will tell.

We’ll keep you posted on updates about  “The Slashin’ of the Christ” as the project develops.
