For almost 10 years, audiences haven’t been able to get enough of perpetual badass John Wick (Keanu Reeves). His protege Eve Macarro (Ana De Armas) is getting in on the action with the upcoming spin-off “From the World of John Wick: Ballerina.”

A recently released featurette made up of clips from “Ballerina” showcased De Armas kicking ass and taking names, spliced with behind-the-scenes action. “When I got the opportunity, the offer, it was really inspiring,” De Armas said. “I’m actually surprised I came out of it in one piece.”

    The Cast of “Ballerina”

De Armas and Reeves star alongside Anjelica Huston, Gabriel Byrne, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Norman Reedus, and Ian McShane. The late actor Lance Reddick also stars, reprising his role as Charon.

“When I read the script, I didn’t think you could find a way to expand the world in a way that felt completely different, yet completely connected. But they did,” Reddick explained at the time.

“This is not a female John Wick,” insists director Len Wiseman. “This is a story about Eve coming into it from the beginning.” Since “Ballerina” is set during the events of 2019’s “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.” A movie that centered around dancer Eve, beginning her training in the assassin traditions of the Ruska Roma. Setting her up on a dangerous path to avenge her father’s death.

A path that seems like it’ll be getting bloody in “Ballerina.” “The flamethrower scene is insane,” De Armas said. “I think I burn 106 people. I only cried with the first man. The other 105, I was fine.”

“ Fans are gonna love what Ana does and how she plays this character,” Wiseman attests.

“From the World of John Wick: Ballerina” hits theaters on June 6th, 2025. You can check out the featurette below:
