    Paramount+ Teases “Nöthin But a Good Time” Hair Metal Docuseries

    Paramount+ wants you to come on feel the noize with their new docuseries, “Nöthin But a Good Time: The Uncensored History of the ‘80s Hair Metal.” The show is based on a book/oral history by journalists Tom Beaujour and Richard Bienstock.

    “Nöthin But a Good Time” is be a three-part series directed by Jeff Tremaine (“Jackass”). It aims to deliver a fresh and shockingly candid behind-the-scenes look at one of music’s most iconic eras. Each episode will showcase the insanity and blazing ambition that have enthralled generations of music lovers. Not to mention its continued influence on pop culture to this day.

    “This docuseries is a celebration of the most outrageous decade in rock n’ roll. It’s my love letter to the ’80s,” Tremaine said.

    “Nöthin But a Good Time” Interviewees

    This limited series features interviews with Poison’s Bret Michaels, Ratt’s Stephen Pearcy, Extreme’s Nuno Bettencourt, and Skid Row’s Dave “Snake” Sabo. Along with MTV host Riki Rachtman, and people influenced by the era like Slipknot’s Corey Taylor and Steve-O of “Jackass.” Taylor also provides the forward for Bienstock and Beaujour’s book.

    “Nöthin But a Good Time” is executive produced by Tremaine and Shanna Newton for Gorilla Flicks; Eric Wattenberg, Scott Lonker, and Will Nothacker for Wheelhouse’s Spoke Studios. Along with Erik Olsen; Bruce Gillmer and Michael Maniaci for MTV Entertainment Studios. Authors Bienstock and Beaujour, are also co-executive producers on the series adaptation.

    There is no set release date for “Nöthin But a Good Time,” but it is expected to hit Paramount+ later this year. We’ll keep you posted on updates as they become available. You can snag a copy of the book it is based on here.
