Goldie Hawn, Kurt Russell’s Dog Stars in Super Bowl Ad

You’ve heard of nepo babies, now make way for nepo puppies! Beer giant Budweiser once again sunk a lot of money into a memorable ad for Super Bowl LVIII. This year it revolved around a fearless Labrador named Roy Hawn Russell. A dog that turns out to be owned by long-time couple Goldie Hawn (“Death Becomes Her”) and Kurt Russell (“Escape from L.A.”).

Hawn posted words of encouragement for their beloved pet on Sunday. The praise was accompanied by a video of the big moment when the ad first aired. Roy’s family is cheering and clapping for his big moment on the small screen. All while he couldn’t care less until the spot ends and everyone swarms to pet him and call him a “good boy.”

Hawn’s daughter Kate Hudson (“Glass Onion”) made her own Instagram post saying; “There’s a lot of thespians in this family, but tonight there was only one star.” Her post was also accompanied by a video of the commercial’s premier. Except her footage ends with Russell telling Roy that he was just in front of more people than “any actor in this family has ever been at one time.”

In the commercial we see Budweiser delivery men struggling to make their rounds due to the snow. When the truck fails, they try the old-fashioned way, a cart pulled by the company’s signature Clydesdale horses. But the treacherous road eventually becomes too much for them as nightfall sets in.

That’s when a real american hero steps in! The Labrador happily runs off to find the stranded delivery and guides everyone to the safety of the bar. If this Budweiser ad is an indicator, Roy’s acting career is just getting started.
