The Walt Disney Company is celebrating their 100th anniversary and to commemorate the occasion with a $1,500 box set of 100 films. The Disney Legacy Animated Film Collection features 100 titles from the company’s inception in 1923 to some of their most recently released films.

Disney collectors purchasing this Blu-ray box set will get three volumes containing the 100 animated films. Each volume can be set up like a book, the theatrical posters for each film on a different page. The collection also includes digital codes for each movie and a numbered certificate of authenticity. It has a lithograph for the upcoming animated film “Wish.” There is also a collectible set of crystal Mickey Mouse ears engraved with “Disney 100.”

The entire collection contains films from Disney’s classic era, the Renaissance of the 90s, and movies as recent as “Elemental.” Most of the movies come from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, and even the now-closed DisneyToon Studios. Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” is included in this collection, one of the few films not originally created by Disney.

This honestly sounds like the perfect collector’s item for any hardcore Disney fan. Physical media is becoming harder to find lately, what with everything going to streaming. This way in case streaming services pull more content, you can still have a copy. While not every animated feature film Disney has created is part of this box set, there are some very obscure titles.
