Original Blue Ranger of “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” David Yost is suiting back up for the new “Power Rangers Cosmic Fury” series. Yost originally portrayed character Billy Cranston/Blue Ranger from 1993-1996. He would reprise the role for several additional series and movies.

Jordon Fite, Hunter Deno, David Yost, Chance Perez, and Tessa Rao suit up on “Power Rangers Cosmic Fury” NETFLIX

Yost will be joined by: Russel Curry, Hunter Deno, Kai Moya, Tessa Rao, Chance Perez, Jordon Fite, and Jacqueline Joe. The team will be working to stop Lord Zedd, who has escaped and intends to extend his rampage to the furthest reaches of space. As they discover the Cosmic Orbs, they become the new Cosmic Fury Rangers. The team will be equipped with new uniforms, weapons, and an entirely new fleet of Zords! Yost’s Blue Ranger is still a tech genius and master of logic, so his help will be invaluable to the Rangers.

Now who isn’t a sucker for a good nostalgia run from one of their favorite childhood characters? The Power Rangers have been a staple for children’s programming since the 90s. To know that its still going strong 30 years later is heartwarming. Yost bringing back the Blue Triceratops Ranger to help the Dino Rangers just feels poetically right. Plus we’re getting Lord Zedd going on a space rampage! The only thing better would be Rita Repulsa joining in with the evil shenanigans.

“Power Rangers Cosmic Fury” will be streaming on Netflix on Friday, September 29th, 2023. Check out the opening credits now:
