Creel House From “Stranger Things” is Real, and on the Market!

The terrifying Creel House from season 4 of Netflix’s “Stranger Things” is real, and up for sale! For the absolute bargain of $1,500,000, you could own a mansion in Georgia as well as have the rarest collectible. This isn’t the only piece of real estate from The Duffer Brothers‘ hit show, either. The Byers’ home is also still on the market.

    “Stranger Things,” Netflix

Located at 906 E 2nd Ave SW, Rome, GA 30161 it boasts 5 or 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms with a 6th that is a rough in. Part of the flexibility of this home is the attic is more of an unfinished third floor. Giving the new owners the freedom to decide on the number of bedrooms and bathrooms they would like, to some degree. The house is 6,000 sqft, sits on a 1-acre plot, and was built-in 1882 by Col. Hamilton Yancey.

Before its starring role in “Stranger Things,” it was known as the Claremont House, a bed and breakfast. When the B&B closed in March of 2019, it was purchased again by Jully as a private residence for $350,000, according to Zillow.

The locations team from “Stranger Things” found the Victorian home only a month after the current owners closed on it. Luckily they were able to shoot everything they needed before the owners’ planned renovations began. This gave them the freedom to transform the home into the abandoned Creel House we all know and fear today. It was the simple touches like boarded-up windows and overgrown landscaping that really tied the new look together.

Now the Creel House looks significantly different, to say the least. The house features a “majestic” formal dining room “where telekinesis is no longer practiced during meals.” We’ll practice telekinesis when and wherever we please, thank you very much! An adjoining parlor is “perfect for playing Dungeons and Dragons” but to be fair, most rooms are. As well as a living room big enough for all the members of the Hellfire Club, and then some.

Many original details still remain despite the updating. Including things like handcrafted built-in bookshelves, cabinetry, large layered moldings, and a custom buffet. There are also some unique features like an antique wall safe. As well as a cast iron urinal which the listing points out may quite possibly be the only one, but we are no urinal experts.

For those that may be serious about buying the Creel House, the listing notes that offers will be reviewed on November 30th. Also, assuming due to demand, proof of funds are required for showings. You can check out the listing as well as more images here.
