“Evil Dead” Hero Ash Williams Joins Fortnite Halloween Event

Fortnite is the game that keeps on giving. It’s adding a new playable character into the mix for it’s seasonal event. Just in time for Halloween, kids and grown-ups will be able to play Ash Williams from the “Evil Dead” franchise. You’ll be wielding his iconic chainsaw while playing the character. It’s definitely one of the more meta ways to get your kids into horror, but if this does it then more power to it!

It’s not just Ash that’s being added to the game but also “Rick and Morty” characters Meseeks and Queen Summer.

During the Halloween event on Fortnite Island, players will be able to have werewolf like claws and slash close combat opponents. Players will be able to do this both on the ground and in mid-air with a double-jump.

Another added ability will let you track enemies for a short time. There will be a heartbeat sound that you can audibly hear if you’re being tracked which will get louder as your opponent gets closer. Kind of anxiety inducing but also fun!

There is an added mode for this years Halloween event. A Zero Build version of the Horde Rush which was last years fun PVE(player vs. environment) survival mode game. You had to last against a huge wave of incoming monsters. This year’s game will be different and a lot harder since last year you were able to build structures to survive the incoming horde. This year you can’t do that so you’re basically on your own.

Not only is all this going to be available but it’s going to last a longer than just the Halloween event. Fortnite says fans of these games will be able to play for a while even after the Fortnitemares event ends.
