San Francisco’s “Stranger Things” Experience Announces Venue

San Francisco will be hosting an immersive “Stranger Things” experience from FEVER in June. The Skylight at The Armory, located at 1800 Mission St., will be hosting the event. [Editor’s Note: if you know, you know.] This experience boasts several attractions like immersive photo ops, engaging interactivity, and delicious themed food and drinks.

Nerdbot has been lucky enough to experience two different “Stranger Things” experiences from Secret Cinemas. One was the fully-immersive drive thru, and the other was the pop-up store experience.

It will have an immersive experience called The Hawkins Lab. Which is cryptically described as “Strange things are happening once again. Only the bravest guests are invited to discover the secrets within the walls of the lab. There may be the occasional testing, analysis, or psych evaluation. Don’t worry it’s safe… perfectly safe…” The description also makes an MK-Ultra reference just to give a slight clue about what you’re in for.

And if making it though Hawkins Lab isn’t enough, try a nice stroll through The Upside Down. But less terrifying Hawkins staples will also be there like Scoops Ahoy and Palace Arcade.

“We know our Stranger Things fans will embrace the chance to be the heroes of the story, working alongside Eleven, Mike and the rest of the gang to escape the evil threatening to consume Hawkins,” Greg Lombardo, Head of Experiences at Netflix, said in a press release. “As Dustin would say, it’s time for a curiosity voyage – so bring your paddles to travel!”

The event will start in June 2022, but tickets go on sale Thursday, July 8th. They are limited, and start at $39 per person. There is also another event in New York starting in early May 2022. Tickets for that are already on sale, and are $49 per person. You can get your tickets via FEVER UP here.

Both experiences last for over an hour. They also encourage attendees to “dress for the occasion.” I’m not sure how we determine what season the upside down is in. What colors go best with cosmic terror?

The Netflix series returns for season 4 part one on May 27th, with part two following on July 1st.
