Care Bear Countdown: Perfect Blazer for Your New Year’s Party

To me, Care Bears equals early mornings at Nana’s and eating Froot Loops in the big easy chair. It’s one of those things that brings a wave of nostalgia. Hearing the theme song brings back all the words like some sort of weird muscle memory. So when I heard about the Care Bears line at Fun.com, I was more than excited to try some of the things out.

I recently tried on the Care Bears Suit Blazer, and it’s quickly become my go-to piece when I need something formal. I’m one of those girls who don’t really like wearing a dress but I will if I have to. I always prefer a nice pantsuit over a dress.

From the moment I put it on it immediately brought back that nostalgic rush of childhood mornings watching “Care Bears” episodes. The pastel pink fabric combined with the satin lining full of Care Bears graphics is high quality and nice feeling. Honestly this feels like a cheat code when it comes to my clothes. I’ve ALWAYS been known as the “Cartoon Shirt Mom” in the pick up line at school. I heard this second hand, like it was a bad thing. To me, I just love cartoons. Heck I don’t even buy makeup unless it’s some kind of collab between a cartoon show and has nostalgic packaging. Why not have the fun things? With this blazer having the peek-a-boo lining, it really makes me feel good to know that I have something that means so much to me close to me. If that makes sense.

The vibrant color of the blazer also works beautifully with bold hair. Especially if you have bright pink hair like me. I try to coordinate outfits with the hair because as I get older I find I give less F’s than when I was younger. Why not be the quirky lady with the colored hair and fun earrings?

The blazer has a single button in the center which closes nicely in the front. It makes it feel less restrictive which is a must for me. I can’t close the button just yet, but I am on a diet so it will happen sooner than later lol. What’s especially nice is the fit of the jacket even without closing the front button. It looks great with a black tank underneath.

This would be a great choice for a Christmas or New Years’ Party with friends and family, or taking a business meeting at work. I recommend this to anyone who loves bright colors and Care Bears. Plus since it’s officially licensed it doubles as a collector’s item! You can pick one up here. And make sure you check out Fun.com’s other Care Bear merch while you’re there!
