Prime Video’s “Fallout” Wraps Filming on Season 2

Get ready to go back into the vault! Or, back into getting out of the vault and into the wasteland! That’s right, one of the biggest surprises in terms of quality video game adaptations was 2024’s “Fallout“ on Amazon Prime Video. Even though these adaptations have become considerably better over the years, there’s still an element of “hit or miss” to them whenever they pop up. We weren’t entirely sure what to expect with a series based on the post-apocalyptic, irradiated world of “Fallout” was announced, but once we saw it, we loved it.

We are happy to report the show has officially wrapped filming on season 2. The official X (formerly Twitter) account for the program posted a short video that’s symbolic of the filming coming to a close. We get to watch Walton Goggins taking off his ghoul guise.

While calling Goggins a stand-out in the series isn’t quite fair to the rest of the stellar cast, it was amazingly fun watching him get to showcase his talents. He’s the mutated post-apocalyptic Clint Eastwood we didn’t know we needed until we had him. Even Goggins’ star has risen since then thanks to his work on “The Righteous Gemstones,” “The White Lotus,“ and his upcoming hosting gig on “SNL.” But let’s not forget to sing the praises of Ella Purnell (“Arcane“) and Kyle MacLachlan (“Dune“), since as any true “Fallout” fan knows, the journey is a let better when you have companions.

We don’t exactly know when the second season is going to be hitting screens. Obviously, we hope sooner rather than later, but for the meantime, we’re stuck waiting like a bunch of radscorpions starved for a meal. Naturally, when we hear something more, we’ll let you know.

But at least you can watch Goggins take off his face make-up over and over again to kill some time!
