Post Malone, OREO Collab on New Flavor

All too often at Nerdbot we report on some foods that exist that really should not. Perhaps you remember when we showed you the ranch dressing ice cream? What about the Doritos adult beverages? There’s been a lot of this stuff over the years. But this actually sounds like it could be a good combination of flavors, even though the entities behind it make for an unusual combination.

    Oreo

Post Malone has been well-established recently as a hitmaker who can blend genres. In 2024 he has seven top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 under his own name and a few more if you count collabs on other records. He’s blended country with elements of rap and hip-hop to great success. Meanwhile, Oreo is a brand of cookies that wants to sell more cookies. Traditionally they haven’t really done much to blend flavors together… until now. Oreo is teaming with Post Malone to present a new flavor combination unlike anything they’ve made before.

    Oreo

The new “twist” on flavors will have a salted caramel creme swirled together with a shortbread flavored creme. This will be sandwiched together between a chocolate cookie and a golden cookie. Not real gold obviously, but the kind of golden wafer they use in other cookies. That’s like, four different flavor profiles put together into a caloric nightmare. On top of all this, the cookies will come in one of nine different Post Malone inspired designs including a guitar pick, a pickup truck, an LP, and more.

    Oreo

The gimmick makes a bit more sense when you know that Oreo is also going to be introducing a contest that can allow people the chance to create an Oreo flavor based on their music taste. It’s the “Taste Twist Digital Experience: Unlock Your Own Taste Twist Cookie.” It’ll start in early February and run through March 31st. As for the cookies themselves, they go up for presale on January 27th.

You can get more information through the official website. The cookies go on nationwide retail sales on February 3rd.
