With the release of “Lord of The Rings: The War of the Rohirrim,” the time for cool merch is upon us! Wētā Workshop is bringing the heat with a limited edition King Helm Hammerhand helmet.
“Clad in mighty helm and armed with sturdy fist, he guarded his people as fiercely as the trolls that stalked the snowbound hills,” the listing reads. “A warlord king in truth, King Helm of Rohan wielded his strength against all who threatened the Riddermark™, and the shadow of his resolve lay long upon his enemies’ hearts.”
King Helm’s Helmet
It’s designed by Wētā concept artist and Sir Peter Jackson‘s “Lord of The Rings” trilogy alumni Daniel Falconer. He reimagined it from the original 2D animation for “The War of the Rohirrim.” The helmet is a fully functional piece of armour, that has been worn and battle-scarred by history. Falconer’s design was then crafted in clay by expert sculptor and fellow LOTR alum Shaun Bolton. His acute attention to detail breathed “life into every ridge, dent, and worn edge with the authenticity only decades of experience could provide.”
“Our authentic prop replicas and collectibles are designed by the very same artists who have worked across Middle-earth on the big screen, so effectively they come straight from the world,” says Richard Taylor, CEO & Co-founder, Wētā Workshop
These replica helmets are primarily made from polystone and limited to only 900.
