Netflix has released an official trailer for part one of the final season of “Cobra Kai.” Season 6 will be split into three parts, each containing five episodes. While Netflix splitting up seasons is nothing new, this will be the first time it’s been done in three parts.

“Cobra Kia” is a spin-off of the “The Karate Kid” franchise, set 34 years after Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) beats Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka). It centers around Johnny, an unemployed handyman, who has hit rock bottom. That is until he rescues Miguel Diaz (Xolo Maridueña), a bullied kid, from his tormentors. This inspired Johnny to revive the notorious Cobra Kai dojo.

    “Cobra Kai” Season 6

Fast forward to five seasons later and the Cobra Kai dojo has been eliminated from the Valley. Shifting the focus of this season to the senseis and students of Miyagi-Do preparing to compete in the world championships of karate, Sekai Taikai. But there is still plenty of tension between all of the dojos.

The trailer shows Daniel angrily facing off with Johnny and Miguel, who plan to take on Robby Keene (Tanner Buchanan) to be dubbed “the best in the world.”

There will also be secrets from the past coming back to disrupt the present. Part one’s trailer shows Daniel and Chozen Toguchi (Yuji Okumoto) discovering a box their former sensei, Mr. Miyagi (Pat Morita), hide beneath the floorboards.

“Miyagi-San buried secrets for a reason,” Chozen warns. “If we open, anything is possible.”

    The Cast

The cast for season 6 includes Macchio, Zabka, Maridueña, Okumoto, Buchanan, Martin Kove, Jacob Bertrand, Mary Mouser, and Peyton List. Alongside Gianni DeCenzo, Courtney Henggeler, Vanessa Rubio, Dallas Dupree Young, Alicia Hannah-Kim, Griffin Santopietro and Oona O’Brien.

“Cobra Kai” part one is set to hit Netflix on July 18th. Part two will be released on November 28th, and part three will hit in 2025. You can check out the first trailer below:
