Daisy Ridley is currently promoting her upcoming film “Young Woman and the Sea,” where she plays Trudy Ederle, the first woman to swim the English Channel. But of course she’s still getting asked about “Star Wars.” Ridley will be starring in a new entry to the franchise directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy (“Ms. Marvel”).

During a recent interview, she was asked about the new “Star Wars,” film set 15 years after “The Rise of Skywalker.” When asked if she wanted former co-star John Boyega to return, responded with a very clear answer.

“Absolutely, of course. It feels like we should, yeah,” Ridley said.

The currently untitled film is said to revolve around Ridley’s character Rey starting up a new Jedi Order. While Boyega’s character Finn is not a Jedi, some force sensitivity has been hinted at in previous films.

Neither Boyega nor Disney has confirmed his casting but it wouldn’t be too far-fetched for him to reprise his role. The duo previously starred together in 2015’s “The Force Awakens,” 2017’s “The Last Jedi,” and 2019’s “The Rise of Skywalker.”

Ridley’s upcoming film “Young Woman and the Sea” hits theaters May 31. Her upcoming  “Star Wars” project doesn’t currently have a set release date. But we’ll keep you posted on updates about the project as they become available.
