After what feels like forever, we have an official look at Eli Roth‘s upcoming “Borderlands” movie. According to Randy Pitchford, head of Gearbox who makes the “Borderlands” video games, the trailer will drop tomorrow.

Borderlands movie trailer is finally going to drop tomorrow! Check out some of the cast in this awesome shot (looking down the access tunnel into a DAHL Eridium mine on Pandora) and check out @BorderlandsFilm tomorrow for the full trailer! pic.twitter.com/L1AkFg2SsD

The film stars Cate Blanchett as Lilith, Jack Black as Claptrap, Jamie Lee Curtis as Dr. Tannis, Kevin Hart as “Borderlands 2” character Roland (described as a skilled ex-soldier turned mercenary), Florian “Big Nasty” Munteanu as Krieg, and Ariana Greenblatt as Tiny Tina.

“Chernobyl” scribe Craig Mazin wrote the most recent “Borderlands” script for the Lionsgate release.

We do know that Pitchford confirmed Roth’s film would NOT be “identical” to the existing in-game universe, which was interesting.

Yeah, it does kinda look like “Holes,” doesn’t it?

A better look at Blanchett as Lilith.

“Borderlands” is set to hit theaters August 9th, 2024.

    Chaos loves company.

Check out this sneak peek for the new upcoming movie @BorderlandsFilm and be prepared for the full trailer dropping tomorrow – Wednesday, February 21. #BorderlandsMovie #IGNFanFest pic.twitter.com/4iB37JHP9H

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
