“Quantum Leap” returned this week with “Off the Cuff,” and we had the chance to chat to star Raymond Lee about vaulting back into the season.
The midseason return sees Dr. Ben Song still stuck leaping from body to body, trying to right wrongs in history. Meanwhile the team is reckoning with moving on; having thought him dead or lost in space time. Unexpected paths also converge and emotional growth whether they want it or not is on the horizon.
We chatted about Dr. Song’s journey so far, practicing radical selfishness, having to do a whirlwind tour of Egypt, and a shared admiration for John Cho.
More about “Quantum Leap”
It’s been nearly 30 years since Dr. Sam Beckett stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished. Now, a new team, led by physicist Ben Song, has been assembled to restart the project in the hope of understanding the mysteries behind the machine and the man who created it.
It also stars Caitlin Bassett, Ernie Hudson, Mason Alexander Park, Nanrisa Lee, Peter Gadiot, and Eliza Taylor.
“Quantum Leap” airs Tuesdays on NBC, and streams the next day on Peacock. You can watch our interview below:
