Netflix has released a teaser trailer for their upcoming, animated series, “Masters of the Universe: Revolution.” This new show is a followup to Kevin Smith‘s 2021’s “Masters of the Universe: Revelation.”
“Masters of the Universe: Revolution” centers around a newly mechanized Skeletor (Mark Hamill), armed with the might of Motherboard, who attacks the heart of Eternia. All while Prince Adam (Chris Wood) grapples with a new responsibility and what that means for him as He-Man! Adam must choose between the scepter or the sword, and a life as either the King or the Champion!

Meanwhile, Sorceress Teela (Sarah Michelle Gellar) searches for the secret of Snake Magic in the mists of Darksmoke to rebuild a magic realm to help He-Man hold off the greatest threat Eternia has ever faced: the return of the despot Hordak, the ruthless leader of the Horde Empire!

The voice cast for “Masters of the Universe: Revolution” also includes Lena Headey (“Game of Thrones”) as Skeletor’s right-hand woman Evil-Lyn, and William Shatner in a yet-to-be-disclosed role. Making this the first time “Star Trek” and “Star Wars” royalty William Shatner and Mark Hamill have worked together. Maybe this will finally settle the decades-long (mostly comedic) beef between the two fandoms.
The series is executive produced by filmmaker and consummate fanboy Kevin Smith, who also worked as the showrunner. The series is written by Marc Bernadin, Eric Carrasco, Diya Mishra, and Tim Sheridan. Featuring animation by Powerhouse Animation, who handled Netflix’s “Castlevania” series.
“Masters of the Universe: Revolution” is expected to hit Netflix sometime in 2024. You can check out the action-packed teaser trailer below:
