Skullcandy Teams Up with TMNT for Radical New Headphones

Are you ready to hop on your skateboard and listen to some groovin’ music? Or yell “Cowabunga” at the top of your lungs as you cruise through the streets? Well you can be with these new headphones from Skullcandy featuring TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) designs. There are two sets, one a chunkier over the ear set that’s geared more for gaming and one is a smaller on the go earbud version. The Skullcandy x TMNT Push Active True Wireless Earbuds and Skullcandy x TMNT PLYR Multi-Platform Wireless Gaming Headset celebrates the fan-favorite franchise ahead of its 40th anniversary.

I was sent the smaller set of Skullcandy x TMNT Push Active True Wireless Earbuds to test out before the announcement and I have to say that they’re made very well! They have their own charging case which is able to be charged up by itself so you have extra battery life wherever you go if you have the case on you. It uses a USB-C charger so you’ll probably have a few on hand already but it also comes with a charging cord. In the box with the cord it comes with earbuds of all the Turtle’s respective colors. Mine came equipped with Donatello purple so I just left them since he’s my fav.

The sound quality was excellent. You can either choose to use one earbud or both by pressing either one’s button or pressing both at the same time to sync audio. There are shortcuts you can do by pressing the buttons on the buds to do things like pick up a call, hang up, open Spotify and more features I don’t have memorized yet. I particularly like the fact that since these are Bluetooth I can also sync up with the bedroom television to watch anime while the kids are sleeping.
