“SNL” Stars and the White House in “Chucky” Season 3 Trailer

SYFY dropped the official trailer for “Chucky” season 3, and it features “Saturday Night Live” (SNL) cast members Sarah Sherman and Kenan Thompson. Sherman once portrayed the titular killer doll in a 2022 SNL sketch. Sherman loves the franchise, so we are sure having a cameo in the new season is a dream come true for her.

The series, created by Don Mancini, is set to take place in Washington D.C. for the third season. Chucky (voiced by Brad Dourif) finds himself ensconced with America’s First Family, which gives us plenty of questions. How did he get there? What is his diabolical endgame? Would he make a better President than someone we’ve had in the past?

Jake (Zackary Arthur), Devon (Björgvin Arnarson), and Lexy (Alyvia Alyn Lind) are searching for Lexy’s younger sister. Thanks to a tip from Tiffany Valentine (Jennifer Tilly), the trio must now battle Chucky one more time. Somehow they are going to infiltrate the White House, in some interesting Good Guy costumes. Tiffany appears to be suffering the consequences of the murderous rampage committed by “Jennifer Tilly” from the previous season. Surely there is more in store for this franchise favorite.

Series regular Devon Sawa is back in a new role for the season, much to the disdain of Chucky. If you haven’t seen the exchanges on X between the doll and actor, you’re missing out.

Part 1 of “Chucky” season 3 premieres October 4th, 2023 on SYFY and USA. Part 2 is set to air sometime in 2024. Episodes will be available to stream next day on Peacock, where you can stream the first two seasons. Checkout the official trailer now:
