    “Adventure Time: Fionna & Cake” Official Trailer Released

    “Adventure Time: Fionna & Cake” is finally happening and the trailer is everything you’d expect it to be. Fans of the fantasy adventure cartoon are getting a new edition to the show soon. Since first appearing in the 2011 episode about the Ice King’s gender-bent fan-fiction about Finn and Jake, Fionna & Cake have been fan favorites.

    The trailer is amazing and the animation gives off a cleaner, more polished look to the classic “Adventure Time” style. Fionna and her ordinary cat, Cake, live in a “boring” mundane world, but Fionna has dreams of a magical world. It appears that after making a wish, Fionna (Madeleine Martin), Cake (Roz Ryan), and Simon (Tom Kenny) are transported to the Land of Ooo. Fans are treated to glimpses of characters from the original show, like Princess Bubblegum and BMO. Finn and Jake even make an appearance in the trailer!

    Like many fans, I was saddened to see the original series end in 2018, but excited to see the expansion series over the years. I loved the entire dynamic of gender-bending the series, with the potential for an epic crossover. Even if the original concept for Fionna & Cake was a fan-fiction made by the Ice King, the episodes they featured in were great. I can’t wait to see how this series does with Fionna’s story and even more world expansion.
