Gritty, the Philadelphia Flyers mascot, is getting his own wall calendar for 2024. The big orange furry creature, who makes some serious eye contact, has become a viral celebrity in his five years. His antics at Flyers games are a source for hilarious entertainment. He definitely reminds one of another big furry mascot, but that one is purple.

The Gritty calendar pictures were taken by Pel Productions. The orange mascot shared some of the photos to his Instagram account. Now we’re not sure how any of these pictures can be defined as “sexy,” but the clothes-less picture says a lot. The post also shows shots of him dressed up for Thanksgiving, St. Patrick’s Day, and Christmas. Maybe June will have a swimsuit picture to add to the “sexy” element. Thankfully this calendar seems mostly wholesome.

For any hardcore fans that want first dibs on this mostly wholesome calendar, they better be prepared to run for it. Anyone registered for the Flyers Charities’ Gritty 5k run this October will be given first access to pre-order the calendar. Proceeds from calendar sales will be going toward the team’s favorite charity, whose mission is to support local families affected by cancer. They also aim to make games for inclusive for fans.

Mascots can make sporting events exciting and this mascot always understands the assignment. The dancing, picking mock fights, and girlfriend stealing antics are always funny to watch on highlight reels. One thing everyone can agree on is that fans love Gritty.

The calendar still has some shots they need to complete the 2024 year, so who knows what else may come from the big orange guy. If you are interested in signing up for the charity run, or want to donate to the cause, you can do so here.
