Ryan Reynolds Co-Producing “Biker Mice From Mars” Series

The 90s was a great time for animation. Specifically for anthropomorphic heroes. And they wore the coolest clothes. Sleeveless vests, jeans, combat boots, and almost always sunglasses. “Street Sharks” and “SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron” were such shows. Cult classics of animation. And in an age of revivals, it might not be beyond the scope of possibility that they might be remade for present day.

The first of which will be “Biker Mice From Mars,” co-produced by Ryan Reynolds via Maximum Effort, in conjunction with the Nacelle Company (“Toys that Made Us”) and Fubo.

“Some people know that I am a motorcycle enthusiast, so it was only natural for us to jump on board Biker Mice from Mars…Maximum Effort and Fubo look forward to putting a new spin on this cult classic with our friends at Nacelle,” Reynolds said. Obviously, we hope that the revival does the 27-year-old cartoon justice. Some of us here at Nerdbot are immense fans. And we’ll be keeping a close eye on just how this story is brought to the modern age.

    Who Are The Biker Mice?

As 90s cartoons go, it’s pretty classic. Mars is home to the Biker Mice. A race of mouse-humanoid aliens that are enthusiastic adrenaline junkies. Sadly, their way of life is threatened by the Plutarkians. A race of fish-like people whose greed for planetary resources is matched only by their size. Chased from their homeworld, three survivors, Throttle, Modo, and Vinnie, crash-land on Earth. Chicago, specifically. There, they befriend mechanic Charlene “Charley” Davidson. Together, they fight to defend Earth from the encroaching danger of the Plutarkians.

Nacelle Company preceded the news of the animated series by releasing a brand new line of toys, having secured the rights to the IP. “Biker Mice From Mars” will be the first animated series to be featured on Reynold’s Maximum Effort Channel.
