Aubrey Plaza Pranked “White Lotus” Co-Stars with “Blair Witch”

Humans are funny creatures. We love to scare and bamboozle one another in the name of a laugh. We still giggle at Norman Reedus glitter-bombing Andrew Lincoln‘s car. Arnold Schwarzenegger got co-star Danny Devito with a pot cigar (payback for a prank Devito pulled on him 33 years ago). So it comes as little surprise that Aubrey Plaza reportedly pranked her co-stars on the set of “The White Lotus” in witchy style.

Adam DiMarco “The White Lotus,” HBO Max

Adam DiMarco was the first to fall victim to Plaza’s shenanigans. The actress rearranged reed diffusers in his dressing room. She apparently placed them in a symbol on the floor akin to “The Blair Witch Project.” Of course, there was little doubt about the culprit. The Four Seasons San Domenico Palace was filled with security cameras and personnel. But to further throw her co-stars off the scent, Plaza went so far as to arrange her own trailer in similar fashion. Feigning befuddlement, she continued to sneak notes under doors and sow unrest.

Plaza would even go so far as to deflect blame onto her co-workers. “I was definitely questioning my reality for a while there,” DiMarco said. “I didn’t know who to trust. It was like Murder on the Orient Express. Everyone was the murderer.” But we would assume certainly not boring! Given that the magic of Hollywood is riddled with hundreds of unused takes, a little pranking seems a decent way to fight the monotony.

Plaza insists she’s more like Harper Spiller, her “The White Lotus” character, than anything. But we all can have a mischievous streak. Perhaps even Harper.

“The White Lotus” season 2 is currently streaming on HBO Max. We’ll next see Aubrey Plaza in Marvel Studios’ upcoming “Agatha: Coven of Chaos” for Disney+.
