During D23 Expo in Anaheim, we got even more news about upcoming “Star Wars” series coming to Disney+. Jamaal Avery Jr (“Abbott Elementary”) and Emma Berman (“Luca”) will star in the animated preschool series “Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures.” Set during The High Republic era in the “Star Wars” universe, it will follow a group of Younglings as they embark on missions, which will ultimately teach them the valuable skills needed to become Jedi: compassion, self-discipline, teamwork, patience, and friendship.

Avery will play Kai Brightstar, a Youngling who hopes to follow in the footsteps of the great Master Yoda and become a Jedi Knight. Berman will play Nash Durango, the pilot for the team.

Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television made the series announcement. “Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures” is produced by Lucasfilm for Disney, and executive-produced by Lucasfilm’s James Waugh, Jacqui Lopez, and Josh Rimes. Michael Olson will also serve as an executive producer as well as the showrunner.

This full-length animated “Star Wars” series will premiere in 2023 on Disney Junior and Disney+. Stay Tuned to NerdBot for updates on “Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures” as they become available.
