If you’ve been waiting for more “My Hero Academia,” then you won’t have to wait much longer! This weekend at Crunchyroll Expo it was announced that season six is finally on the horizon. We’ve had a few movies to hold us over, but it just doesn’t beat watching a weekly episode with a solid storyline.
In season six, we will be watching the heroes and villains go up against each other in full force. Teachers and students are aligned, villains and super villains are teaming up to do the same. We had some build up for it in season five with Hawk leaving Endeavor coded messages that only he would be able to decipher. We got to the point where he realized what the scope of what happening was (it’s huge) and then the season broke. Leaving ample room to get really excited for season six.
It looks like from the trailer that was shown there won’t be any filler episodes to start out the season and they will jump right into the battle of good and evil.
“My Hero Academia” Season 6 Logline:
“With Bakugo and Todoroki, Deku is doing his work-study at the office of the number one hero, Endeavor. Working hard in the best possible environment, he is growing as a hero and using Blackwhip, a new Quirk that was hiding in One For All. Meanwhile, Tomura Shigaraki from the League of Villains clashes against the Metahuman Liberation Army led by Re-Destro. While he’s being driven into a corner fighting Re-Destro, he recovers forgotten memories of his terrible childhood and is awakened. He seizes the Metahuman Liberation Army, expands its influence, and now desires a new power for himself to destroy everything.”
“My Hero Academia” season six will start broadcasting on Japanese television October 1st, 2022. Crunchyroll will be airing episodes sometime in October. We’re confirming if it will be a simultaneous release, stay tuned!
