“Halloween Ends” Footage Revealed at CinemaCon

During Universal’s CinemaCon 2022 presentation, Jamie Lee Curtis introduced a new “Halloween Ends” trailer! The trailer is mostly made up of footage from previous films but there was a cool bit of new footage from “Halloween Ends” spliced in.

The new footage shows Laurie Strode (Curtis) breathing heavily as she hides in a closet. Michael Myers (Nick Castle, James Jude Courtney) of course stalking the kitchen with his trademark knife. Strode lunges and slashes at Myers. A brutal fight between the two ensues.

This will reportedly be Curtis’ last time playing Strode, so she had a lot to say on the matter.

“I had no idea when I was cowering in the closet 45 years ago that this character would become the most important relationship of my entire career and professional life. And I’m grateful because Laurie Strode is the OG Final Girl,” Curtis reflected. “She’s the one that term apparently was created for. The one that won’t be stopped, won’t be killed, will face the monsters when others run, and over the years that has taken on obviously new dimensions…but sadly all things must come to an end.”

She then assured fans that “this Halloween, we will experience Laurie’s last stand. It’s gonna fuck you up.”

This footage is the latest in a string of clues about the new movie. Before this, all we had was a rough idea of the plot. Which is currently, vaguely, described as “The saga of Michael Myers and Laurie Strode comes to a spine-chilling climax in this final installment of the franchise.” Director David Gordon Green has repeatedly teased that there will be a 4-year time jump between “Halloween Kills” and “Halloween Ends.” He also confirmed that this film will be “intimate” and “contained.”

“Halloween Ends” is set to release on October 14, 2022.
