One of our favorite live-action films from Disney in the 80s has GOT to be “Flight of the Navigator.” It’s just one of those movies that captured our imaginations, and never really went away. It’s also one of the next titles the House of Mouse is looking to reboot/remake.

In an exciting (and somewhat surprising) bit of news, Disney announced that Bryce Dallas Howard will be directing the reboot for release on Disney+. If you’ll recall, Howard has been working closely with the streaming service, having directed episodes of “Star Wars” series “The Mandalorian.” Her documentary “Dads,” which is adorable, is available on Apple TV+.
Howard will also produce the project, which is reportedly looking for a female lead. On Twitter, she expressed her excitement about the news:
No word on if Paul Rubens (aka Peewee Herman) will return to voice Max.
“Flight of the Navigator” is currently available to stream on Disney+.

We’ll let you know what we hear about this and other news.
