After 6 years, cameras have gone off The CW’s ” Supergirl.” According to series star Melissa Benoist (“Glee“), the DC Comics adaptation has wrapped filming on their final season. Part of the “Arrowverse” created by Greg Berlanti and co., “Supergirl” first premiered on October 26th, 2015 on CBS. Following a cancellation and eventual move to The CW, the show has been a favorite alongside “The Flash,” Arrow,” “Legends of Tomorrow,” “Black Lightning,” “Batwoman,” and the newest, “Superman and Lois.”
Benoist shared a short post with a photo to her Instagram to commemorate the end. We have to assume a more lengthy post is coming, we can’t imagine the emotions involved in saying goodbye to something like this.
The 6th and final season of “Supergirl” is currently airing on The CW, with the very last episode set to air on August 24th, 2021 on The CW.
