Dan Levy is set to star in and co-write a new animated adult comedy series for Hulu. He’s partnering up with writer-director Ally Pankiw, and 20th Television Animation. The series will be called “Standing By.”
Levy is set to voice one of the main characters in the show. Levy and Pankiw are both serving as executive producers and co-writers. He previously worked with Pankiw on the third season of “Schitt’s Creek” where she was a writer on the show.

Standing By is a satirical look into the lives of a group of eternally bound, disgruntled guardian angels and the lessons they’ll eventually learn from not only the dysfunctional humans they’re in charge of protecting, but also each other.
Deadline
Levy will voice Carey, a recently deceased person who previously had a lonely and isolated life in New York City. His character will no doubt be a very funny part of the show.
So far there is no release date for the show but fans of Levy are looking forward to this. Hulu is pushing for more comedy content and this show is part of their plan to do so.
This is Levy’s next project after his multi-award winning hit “Schitt’s Creek.” You can pre-order Dan and Eugene Levy‘s upcoming book about the series here.
