This is done using AltServer, a desktop companion app, and iTunes Wi-Fi Sync. All the details can be found at the download link below.

Cydia Substrate
Like most jailbreaks, Unc0ver relies on Cydia substrate. This is the platform behind Cydia that allows us to make modifications to the code and the software without having to access the source code physically. Plus, with the Cydia Package Manager, you get to install all your favorite libraries, tweaks, mods, and more.
However, Unc0ver is semi-untethered so, whenever your device has to be rebooted, you will need to reactivate the jailbreak.
How to Remove Unc0ver Jailbreak
If you want or need to get Unc0ver off your device, it is pretty simple with the built-in Restore RootFS utility:
- Launch Cydia and tap on Installed
- Delete each tweak, mod, etc. that you installed manually
- Open Unc0ver jailbreak
- Tap on Settings and toggle the options for Refresh Icon and Restore RooftFS (Rec0ver)
- Tap Jailbreak or Rejailbreak on the main Unc0ver screen
No wait – do NOT do anything with your device as your root filesystem is being restored, and that may take a while. When it’s done, the RootFS message will appear on your screen – tap OK, and the jailbreak is removed. Unc0ver is the safest, most reliable jailbreak we have today, so try it on your iPhone or iPad now and get back to doing what you love the most.
