We know we say it all the time, but BossLogic is absolutely one of our favorite artists out there. From his fabulous fan imagining art pieces to his official posters for Marvel Studios and DC Comics- always top notch. This is why his newest piece, imagining Elia González as Zatanna Zatara, so awesome.

If you’ll recall waaaay back in July of 2020, comics great Gail Simone confirmed the rampant rumor that a live-action Zatanna film was in the works. It wasn’t until just last week that Warner Bros. Pictures included Zatanna in a graphic of their upcoming projects. And, the little matter of Oscar-nominated writer/director Emerald Fennel tapped to write the script for the cinematic debut of the Homo Magi.

So, of course the idea of who might play her in a feature film is on everyone’s mind.

How gorgeous is this Zatanna piece?!?

González is an inspired choice for the character, and we are totally on board with this. Judging from her performance in “From Dusk Til Dawn: The Series,” she is absolutely perfect for a modern Zatanna.

We will of course let you know what we hear about the actual casting of the DC Comics’ character, and what else we find out about her feature film.

Make sure you follow BossLogic for his beautiful art pieces, too!

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
