Report: Oscar Isaac May Be “Moon Knight” at Disney+

We are so in for this casting, and we’re hopeful the official talks conclude successfully. Imagine Oscar Isaac in the role of Marvel Comics hero Moon Knight, because that could be the case!

According to Variety, Isaac is currently in talks with Marvel Studios to take on the mantle of Marc Spector, an elite soldier and mercenary who decides to fight crime after he becomes the human avatar of Khonshu, the Egyptian god of the moon.

Jeremy Slater is currently developing the series for Disney+, and will be leading the writer’s room for the project. You will more than likely be most familiar with Slater’s work on “The Umbrella Academy” show, as he developed the material for Netflix and headed that writer’s room as well.

At present, neither Marvel for Isaac have officially commented on this situation, but we’ll let you know what we hear.

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
