    September Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase Wrap-Up

    Hot on the heels of yesterday’s PlayStation showcase, Nintendo showed off a slew of content during their September Nintendo Direct Mini. All games shown during the presentation are coming to the Nintendo Switch from partner companies.

    “Monster Hunter Rise”

    Kicking off the event, they revealed “Monster Hunter Rise.” During the trailer, we see a hunter ride a sort of dog companion as his trusty palico follows him. There are heavy samurai themes shown throughout the village and armor sets. We are itnroduced to some new monsters: Magnamalo, Aknosom, Tetranadon and Great Izuchi. We also see a familiar face from “Monster Hunter World”- Tobi-Kadachi. “Monster Hunter Rise” is releasing on March 26. A deluxe edition is also available with a ton of bonus content.

    “Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin”

    Not enough Monster Hunter for you? Well, you’re in luck! “Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin” was also announced. In this game, we will see ourselves joining forces with monsters to challenge other monsters and protect the environment. As Monster Riders, we must get to the bottom of why Rathalos are leaving their home environment in droves. Alongside our other Rider pals, we will raise and protect the multitude of monsters in our world. It’s the Pokemon version of Monster Hunter. “Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin” is coming summer 2021.

    “Fitness Boxing 2: Rhythm & Exercise”

    In this fitness sequel, you will box to the beat of the music to get your exercise. There are 66 courses to choose from and 23 songs total. You can also change your instructor’s outfit to give you more variety in your workout.Choose from one of nine instructors, including three new ones to ther series. This game also features a two-player mode and the ability to turn on alarms. If you own the first game, your save data will transfer to this new title. “Fitness Boxing 2: Rhythm & Exercise” is available December 4.

    “Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny”

    In this installment of the Disgaea series you will play protagonist Zed. He’s a zombie who thanks to super reincarnation will get stronger every time he dies. The over-the-top battle system fans have come to know and love is back once again. However, this time damage can reach the quadrillions. Additionally, the max level is nearly 100 million. You’ll encounter a ton of new and fascinating characters as you battle your way to the top. “Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny” is arriving in summer 2021. “Disgaea 5 Complete” will also be available for free as part of an exlusive Nintendo Switch online game trial from September 23 to September 29.

    “Empire of Sin”

    In this new title, you will take on the role of Goldie Garneau. While she plays the role of performer by day, she’s heavily involved in the criminal underworld. She runs a group called the Fortune Tellers and competes with mobsters like Al Capone and Angelo. You can manipulate everyone around you as you climb your way to the top of the criminal food chain. In this title, it’s all about who and how you choose to pull the strings. “Empire of Sin” is availabe for pre-order now.

    “Sniper Elite 4”

    In this new tactical shooter entry, you will be heading to an island off the coast of Italy. Your target is general Tobias Schmitt and you’ll need all of the skills available to you to take him down. Avoid explosions, silence the enemy and make your way across the island to your primary target. “Sniper Elite 4” launches Winter 2020.

    Before closing the presentation, Nintendo quickly revealed some of the new Nintendo Switch titles releasing this month. There’s the survival exploration title “The Long Dark” releasing later today. “PGA Tour 2k21” is releasing a physical version on September 25 for any golf fans. “Hades” is a greek mythology-inspired dungeon crawler also releasing later today. “Balan Wonderworld” is a game containing twelve dream-like stages. Characters Leo and Emma will wear different costumes to wield a variety of abilities. It launches on March 26. “Rune Factory” 5 will have you slaying enemies and harvesting crops in 2021. Finally, “Ori and the Will of the Wisps” will be releasing for Nintendo Switch later today.
