Just Born Quality Confections’ Peeps is a staple of many holidays and always has new and exciting flavors and forms for them. Usually we can expect along with the traditional Easter ones, Halloween, Christmas, and Valentines Day. But this year they have decided to forego production on these and focus on their other candies. They are planning on selling Peeps again Easter 2021.

They have had to rearrange their factories practices due to the current pandemic and shut down production on peeps in the spring.

“This situation resulted in us having to make the difficult decision to forego production of our seasonal candies for Halloween, Christmas and Valentine’s Day in order to focus on meeting the expected overwhelming demand for Peeps for next Easter season, as well as our everyday candies,” the company said.

In fact if you go to the Peeps.com website and go to the “Buy Peeps” tab you get a message that says this:

“We aim to give our PEEPS the best shopping experience. To make that happen, we have temporarily closed to make changes to our online store. Don’t fret; we are making every effort to be back in time for Easter 2021!“

“To check on our progress, hop onto this site periodically or sign up for our emails.“

What’s the shelf life of a Peep and what are the odds of finding any in the wild? Well the answer is just about two years, they are pretty indestructible. So you may have a chance at finding some in places like the dollar store or maybe other retailers will have some that aren’t expired. But it’s going to be really hard. And honestly most people prefer fresh peeps.

It’s just one more disappointment for 2020. Now we’re looking forward even more so to 2021 when we can get all our traditional confections back.
