It may seem like a wonderland of a dream to people who live in the U.S. but for folks in Switzerland it’s just another day. Heck, living in California it’s a dream just to see snow fall, but chocolate?!?
A Wonka-esque fantasy that lives only in our minds.
In Olten, Switzerland chocolate fell from the sky thanks to a ventilation error in the Lindt & Sprüngli factory. There had been a defect in the cooling ventilation for a line of roasted cocoa nibs in its factory in Olten.
The cocoa nibs are made of crushed cocoa which serves as the basis of the delicious chocolate treat. What added to the spread of the cocoa from the factory was the high winds that were blowing through the area.
Lindt & Sprüngli has offered to pay for any cleaning services that may be needed after the incident. Luckily business as usual can resume as soon as they get the ventilation fixed.
Many are saying that if there was ever any proof that 2020 has taken a turn for the better- it’s chocolate snow.
Others are just happy because finally something silly happened instead of something like Murder Hornets and a Toilet Paper Shortage.
